Coming Together While Cooking in San Francisco (Feb 19, 2013)Yes, Pete, you certainly did pass the “test” at the Janet and Louise’s San Francisco cooking class: you were right there, mixing, stirring, adding wine and olive oil to the dishes”q.b.” (“quanto basra” or “as much as needed”). Pete, the only man in a group of delightful women, wrote me this note after the class: “This was my initiation to the circle of fabulous Italian cooks and I think I passed the course as far as stirring, throwing in “un pugno di sale” (“a fistful of salt”) goes …thank you for leading such an enjoyable (and tasty) event.” And mille grazie to all the women who cooked so enthusiastically along with Pete
Janet, thanks for making this “tasty event happen and Louise, you were such a warm and welcoming hostess, opening home and heart to all. Thanks for letting us all connect while cooking.
