Pennsylvania pleasures continue… March 14, 2010
The Pennsylvania weather perked up in the morning of March 14th as I moved on to Devon, receiving a warm welcome there from my hosts, Bob and Judy. Though our first meeting – Judy had read about me and my US tours on the Net – I immediately felt that I was with friends. Although I was sorry to miss the extraordinary Barnes Foundation while in the area, Judy took me to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and rolled me past great paintings in a musuem wheelchair! After “food for the soul”, we got down to the “serious” business of food, heading to the location of my cooking class that evening. Judy had asked friends Michael and Carol to host the class in their ample kitchen and Judy had opted to keep the group smaller than my requested minimum (twelve guests other than the hosts) in order to maximize group interaction. Once again (I know: it just doesn’t seem possible!), truly a pleasure to cook and eat with such a great group and such warm and welcoming hosts. Mille grazie, Judy and Bob, Carol and Michael!
“I am so happy that you came to us! I hope this continues into a long long relationship. Dinner was fantastic. The class was great. The experience was bellissimo! Mille grazie!” Judy and Bob E.
“We have really looked forward to this evening and it was more fun than we would have imagined! All of your insights into kitchen life and cooking were so interesting, and your ability to direct all of the hands in the kitchen was amazing – thank you so much for a memorable and delicious evening!” Carol and Michael J.
