My web site Annesitaly.com offers an absolutely "insider's" look at the Italy I have come to know and love in the over 30 years lived here in the Umbrian countryside just outside of Assisi - often called "crown jewel of the medieval hilltowns".

During my years here in Umbria, I have:
worked the land with my Italian husband (see Personal Life bio and Memoirs of Life on the Land) and raised three children;
started and ran for many years an English language school in the Assisi area;
conducted and lectured for Elderhostel programs and other academic groups - and still do (see Lectures);
taught cooking classes here in our Assisi farmhouse and also in the US in private homes - and still do (see cooking)
...and then took on the Umbrian Regional Guide examinations (mamma mia! See Tour Guide Trial).

My site originally was intended to provide insights into the treasures of Umbria through information on my tours and other initiatives but my services have expanded to cover all of Italy.
