First Time for “Real Italian Food” in Houston

Date: March 9, 2015 - categories: - 2 Comments

After our bellissimo Houston cooking evening with Bill and Peggy, Susan wrote me this note:
“I guess I have never had real Italian food before because I never before had anything so wonderful! Now, what will I do when I want real Italian food? Thank you for giving me this experience!” Susan
Susan, what to do when you’re yearning for Italian food? Come to dinner at our farmhouse near Assisi! And I’d like to extend that same invitation to each of our Houston cooks!

Peggy and John, mille grazie, for so warmly welcoming me into your home. Peggy, so good renew the link we formed when I was your tour guide in Umbria and John, glad we connected over the burners. And here’s Peggy’s note to me:
“So happy this worked out for us all. You are a ‘WIZ’! Had such a great time – soooo much fun – and found out my nephew can help in the kitchen…” Peggy with John

Vicki, great job on the orange/fennel salad – and pasta detail, too. And so glad we finally connected. I still cannot believe you two drove so far to join in our cooking evening! And thanks for your note to me, end of class:
“I have enjoyed reading your blog and trying out a few of your recipes. What a joy to get to meet you and cook with you. Thank you for a lovely evening.”

Your note, Keith, indicated that might happen: “A fantastic and very informative and fun evening with great food. Wonderful stories and now I need to visit the Umbria region. Bellissimo!” Keith
….and Angela, so very glad you, too, enjoyed our time together:
“Anne, thank you for a fabulous evening. Great friendly atmosphere accompanied with amazing food. Couldn’t ask for anything more.” Angela

    Anne,
It may seem far to drive two hours, but Houston is our big city for everything so we don’t think of it as far. It was certainly worth the trip to get to meet you! Thank you for including this stop on you itinerary. And we so enjoyed John and Peggy and ALL of their guests!
