Umbrian rural goodness was the link, uniting guests in our Assisi farmhouse from Australia, the UK, San Francisco and New York.
Introductions took place as we shopped for the ingredients: first stop, the caseifcio to select (and taste!) Umbrian cheeses.
On to the butcher – and then to Ristorante Da Giovannino (near our farmhouse) for the prosciutto.
…and last stop: our farmhouse for the cooking – and feasting.
Good times were had by all – as you can read here:
“Anne, you made cooking a meal an experience of fun and joy that I haven’t had in a long time. Thank you..” Kaye
“Thank you, Annie, for a great day of shopping, preparing, chatting, cooking and eating, learning – and most of all, getting an insight into your life and love of Umbria. Really enjoyed it!” Carol and Iain
“What an incredible introduction to Umbria – doesn’t make me want to return: makes me want to move here! Can’t wait to host you in Guerneville!” Jim K
“Thanks so much for the wonderful cooking experience…..on our honeymoon. You gave us so many good ideas to take home and share with our families and friends. Loved having great conversations with all the others. Can’t thank you enough for the great memories!” Paul and Christina B
“Thank you for a wonderful lunch and a wonderfully interactive class. Your personal stories were the icing on the cake.” Pauline
