We’ve shared in rural life and lore from January, through springtime and on into summer. In autumn, too, local rural traditions – including chocolate pasta! – delight as we share them with Peppa and Giuseppa, too.
After we wander her farm in the Deruta countryside – including meeting the family’s wild boar dogs – Giuseppa will teach us how to make homemade fettuccine and a tasty sauce. You’ll meet Giuseppa and taste her superb rural cuisine when you join me here in Italy for my Perugia/Deruta tour.
And I wonder if she might even prepare for us the dish depicted in the 16th-century Perugia fresco masterpiece – linked to rural lore – that we view in Perugia?
