Cooking Up Umbria: the “Favorite Day of an Italian Vacation”

Date: November 18, 2017 - categories: , , - 1 Comment

It’s always a joy to cook up Umbria with guests and delighted, Heidi, that you and your family and friends, cooked with me in our farmhouse kitchen.

It made me smile to know that our day together was the favorite one of your vacation as you wrote in your note to me: “My favorite day on our Italian vacation! Thank you, Anne, for such a lovely experience. Can’t wait now to impress everyone at home with our new cooking skills!”

Jacklyn, so very glad that you brought all your ebullient group our way to cook and I’m glad to know that for all of you “it was an adventure we will always remember.”

Our adventure started with a stop at the caseificio to purchase mascarpone and ricotta for our tiramisu. (and how not to do a bit of cheese-tasting while there?)

“What a charming and special afternoon! To feel the breeze roll off the fields while slicing peaches for the tiramisu – so refreshing and enjoyable. No better way to enjoy my friends and family than while preparing a rustic, delicious meal. We so enjoyed talking life at your table and being surrounded by friendship and unbelievable flavors…..” Lauren

“What a wonderful time in such a beautiful space. Thank you for being such a gracious and fun hostess.” Vassi
