Rural Feasting with Giuseppa: “Her Generosity Abounds”

Not just Giuseppa’s generosity abounds – as Doug and Wendy wrote after lunch with her – but so does the goodness!

Let Becky and Marcello’s group tell you about the joy of feasting with Giuseppa in her Deruta countryside farrmhouse::

And do share in our mamorable day and buonissimo lunch…which started with pasta starring Giuseppa’s homemade tomato sauce and garden vegetables, the family’s veal (calf raised by them). Nikki and Doug savor the goodness here:

Wild boar (hunter by Giuseppa’s son; Loris, and his companians) also joined the veal in the sugo (sauce) and Giuseppa made sure we all tasted tidbits. Wendy and Joan could not refuse:

But more was to soon come as I saw when stopping in the kitchen where Giuseppa was preparing our chicken, soon presented to the guests:

First to be served was Doug, who quickly acclaimed its goodness:

Giuseppa’s potatoes, roasted to in the juices of the chicken, joined as a side dish…

…and not only: the season’s last garden eggplants followed:

Marcello and Becky relished this rural feast, too……

….although this was not the first time we had shared rural goodness togehter at Giuseppa’s…as you can tell from this note they just sent me:
