Like me, my artist brother Tom has French-Canadian, Irish, Scottish and Swiss-German roots, but when he paints, Italian-like passione creates wonders on his canvases.
Umbrian landscapes figure in his work and Umbria appears even in his still lifes: “Flowers in a Green Vase from Deruta” hangs near our front door.
These are some of my favorite Umbria-inspired works by my brother Tom Robichaud who lives and paints in Madison, Wisconsin (and for more, see his online gallery http://www.artabus.com/robichaud)
Dear Anne,
Just love your brothers art and each time I visit Italy I am always looking for a picture I can bring home and get my husband to frame for me. Haven’t found ‘the one’ yet but .looks like Tom is it. Will you have some there when we visit you next May. In any case I will check his website to see how I can go about it. Thanks for sharing
Ciao, Jan W
Jan, thanks for your note and when you come to our home, hope to have some watercolors by Tom for you to look over. Our house is full of his wonders: wait til you see! Tom does not sell through a gallery and many of his masterpieces are not on his site. I will ask him to do some watercolors for me for tour guests who may wish to purchase – happy to do this for him. His prices are most reasonable, as you can tell from his site.
Mille grazie for your note!
Tom never ceases to amaze me with his artist talents. Best wishes to you & your family.
Stephanie, had missed this note!
yes, Tom is a wonder / what talent!
An artist will always be an artist no matter what. Your brother’s work are simply beautiful.
Saw a painting of Toms at SSM health and loved it, a local farmscape.
Does he show anywhere?
Saw two of his works at UWHC. Is he still active and selling paintings? I am interested. Thanks!
