Tiramisu as a family project
What better way to reunite with family than over the burners? My cousin Brian hosted a memorable cooking event near Boston – and my aunts were his sous-chefs, doing all the prep work! Not only: this was the first cooking class ever with four generations joining in. My Auntie Bebe and her daughter, grand-daughter and great-grandson pitched in on the Parmesan cheese grating – and then all savored our winter squash/sage pasta… right to the youngest, little Keegan! Work colleagues and friends joined our family in cooking our feast. UCB 1973 friend Chip with his wife Cynthia and Rome, junior-year-abroad (’68-’69) friend, Kathy, dropped in at the end of the class to test out our “tiramisu-as-a-family-project”. Once again, Italian goodness unites.
