While finalizing all with host Mary for the class at daughter Anna’s catering kitchen, I proposed inviting Connecticut friend and opera singer, Laura, to add an Italian musical note as a surprise for the students. Both Anna and Mary were enthused – and so were the students when Laura topped off our Italian feast by bringing us to Italy through her bellissime songs.
Anna’s catering kitchen at Gourmet Galley was an ideal venue – with cooking space, utensils, stoves in abundance and Anna and her mother Mary so attentive to preparation and to the needs of each cook during slicing, dicing, chopping and mixing. Their enthusiasm comes through in the photos below – and in their comments, too. Thanks for good cooking and wonderful to get to know you as you shared your own stories around the table. Laura, your “musical topping” on our tiramisu was an unforgettable highlight! Mille grazie!
