Once again, tour guests who shared Umbrian wonders with me brought Umbria into their U.S kitchen. Well, not their kitchen this time but that of friends: Dan and Judy co-hosted an Umbrian cooking evening with their friends, Mark and Judy putting together a wonderful class of relatives and friends of each couple. All quickly formed a unite front: cooking together, then sharing the flavors together will do that. Almost every class incorporates a twist and this one did: when the tiramisu team was short on ladyfingers, Julie came to the rescue, pulling out a packet of ginger snaps. The cookies added a “snap” to this tiramisu.
Other snaps? Added by the enthusiastic élan of the wonderful guests. Julie and Mark, mille grazie for opening your home to all and thanks for your note to me:
“Thank you so much for sharing all your fabulous recipes and food and love with all our crazy crowd…Much love and thanks for a MOST memorable evening!” Julie and Mark
