From Holland to Our Assisi Apartment

Eric, Marion, Prisca and Robin, mille grazie for coming all the way from the Netherlands to stay in our Assisi countryside apartment.

Such a pleasure to host you – our first Dutch guests! – and we’re delighted that all of you enjoyed being here with us.

We appreciate your arrivederci note to us:

Remember our Assisi tour which started there….?…

…..and ended up with a lunch offered by Luca in that stone-vaulted 18th-century palazzo? .

And that tasty lunch was served on Deruta maiolica plates painted by Luca’s artisan team who create the wonders on display in his nearby shop.

On another day, we also shared together that buonissimo lunch in Spello. Black truffles starred this time – and Prisca, I’ll always remember you angling your camera for the best “truffles shot.”

You took a pause though to savor that “black gold of Umbria”:
