Peppa’s Vote on Our New Olive Oil
First stop on our return from the olive oil mill with our just-pressed oil? At Peppa’s to let her judge the goodness.
She’d been out harvesting her own olives with her sons that morning as we could see on arrival:
Up in Peppa’s kitchen, Pino proudly poured out our”green gold”…
…..and then, time for Peppa’s first taste of our olive oil (and ours, too!)…
Buonissimo! Squisito! Stupendo! Meraviglioso! (adjectives insufficient..)
…and any of the above, could be applied to Peppa’s pasta with wild mushrooms which followed:
She’d found the wild mushrooms on her way to pick her olives. Another variety of mushrooms enticed as a side dish:
…and yet another variety of mushrooms sidelined Peppa’s wild chicory:
Peppa apologized for “solo un po’ di prosciutto” (“only a bit of prosciutto”) as a secondo!
Who needed more? After all, that stop at Peppa’s was to be only for a taste together of our just-pressed olive oil…..
