Cooking IS connecting and my U.S. Umbrian rural cuisine cooking classes have reunited me to past tour guests, friends from University-California Berkeley days, University of Santa Clara classmates, junior-year-abroad-in-Rome friends and even by high school friends!
Angie, mille grazie, for hosting the most enjoyable class in Oconomowoc (WI) and so very glad the ties remain. Now that my life is so inextricably linked to Italy, it’s fascinating to reflect on the Italian-Americans – like you! – I’d gone to school with who were heading home to meals similar to the ones I’ve learned to cook. And who were part of the Italian culture I have come to know and love. Angie, time to link up again – in Italy!
Mille grazie to each for joining in the good times. Thanks, too, to Wren for her photos.
