And as always, cooking is connecting: I had last seen Jean and Teresa at my MIT talk a couple years ago (and before that, in Umbria). Mary Jo drove all the way from the Cape to link up: a few years ago, she had sponsored my talk on Italian gestures there (a prelude to an Umbrian tour she led). Mary Jo, hope tasting again the buonissimo rural flavors of Umbria will inspire the planning of your next Umbrian group trip!
