How good to reunite with lovely Paula! She’d joined in an Umbrian rural cuisine cooking class last year in Laguna Beach – and this year, hosted her own class (with colleague, Gary) in Dana Point. We reconnected as we prepped for the class near the set table, rosemary plants lined up down the middle, leading your eye to stunning Pacific Ocean views.
The views captivated the eye and a surprise “treat” brought by Paola from Italy captivated the palate: Tuscan lardo di colonnata on bruschetta, heated up just enough to melt a bit of the fat. Buonissimo!, all our group decided after enjoying tastes along with a good vino rosso.
And then…time to introduce all our “cooks” to our recipes of Umbrian rural goodness – and to the Umbrian rural culture:
Enjoy seeing the good times:
…and here’s a recipe for one of the many dishes we cooked.
Mille grazie to each for sharing good times and good food. Your comments to me so appreciated!
