When here in our splendid Umbria, “Italy’s green heart”, you simply can’t miss meeting and feasting with Umbria’s rural people.
Just ask young Shelby from Georgia, here in June in one of our apartments with her mother and grandfather. How about that lasagna bianca of Chiarina, served up by lovely daughter Rossanna, Shelby?
Other dinner guests from the Midwest – David and family – could not resist either:
… who can remember how many meat courses followed? Three I think….and all the meats raised by Marino:
Dessert? Not just one!
We all thanked our hosts, Chiarina, Marino and daughter Rossanna with the Italian gesture for buonissimo…
…and David led us all in a well-merited round of applause:
Chiarina and Marino, Rossanna, dear rural friends since our move to the land in the mid-1970’s, Pino and I applaud you with thanks for all you taught us.
