“Salva il pianeta!” – and sometimes, “Save the planet!” – shouted fired-up students and teachers carrying placards as they wound through medieval Perugia on Friday, March 15th.
In nearly two thousand cities in over one hundred countries all over the globe, students – and not only – joined in the Global Strike for Future promulgated by#FridaysForFuture
Many a banner or placard was in English…
…..although the English wasn’t always perfetto:
But each placard was carried with pride and passione:
…and some pleas for saving the planet weren’t on placards but right on faces
…as were the letters “FFFP”(FridaysForFuturePerugia)
The march headed down Perugia’s main street, passing the elegant medieval city hall, Palazzo dei Priori:
…..and concluded near the church dedicated to San Ercolano, one of Perugia’s three patron saints, where participants listened attentively to brief talks by environmentalists on climate change
…and students, too, beseeched all to direct their time and efforts to salvation of the planet:

These are wonderful photos of this very important event. So good to see all age groups represented and so many younger people with their wonderful signs.
