Mike and Jerilynn, mille grazie for so warmly welcoming me into your Colorado Springs home for a cooking evening of sharing and connecting. As Jerilynn put it: “Wonderful to share time and food and friendship.”
And Mike, glad you enjoyed our time together, too: “Anne, what a delight to share this time with you and enjoy great food.” (And to think I’m here because of my notes on Italian Notebook!)
..and here we all are, sharing time, food and friendship in Colorado Springs:

When this began in November it was a dream. Now it is a memory that will last a lifetime. What a feast! What guided chaos! What fun! Anne e la regina della cucina. Gracie.
Anne, Remember female bell peppers are sweeter (naturally) have four lobes (bumps on the bottom) and more seeds. Thoroughly enjoyed the cooking & geography lesson of Umbria. My husbands family comes from Petralia Sottana in Sicily. My Mom comes from Crispiano near Taranto Italy.
Patty, so good to connect over the burners and thanks for the cooking lore! Have been to Petralia Soutane..but not Crispiano
Saluti!
Annie
Mike, Jerilynn…mille grazie just not enough to thank you for a wondrous night..and your warm and welcoming hospitality.
My turn now: come visit!
