At any time of year, the town of Bolsena and Lake Bolsena beckon – but especially in the summertime.
We often spend many a weekend on the Lake at the family-run Hotel Eden. What serenity lakeside under those palm trees….
….and after (or before swims), enjoy lakeside feasting:
On a recent Hotel Eden outing with our family, marinated coregone – Lake Bolsena whitefish – was the antipasto of choice for some of us (and it’s always my favorite):
As antipasto, Pino and Keegan veered away from the lake choosing a seafood antipasto, steamed mussels:
I stayed with that “coregone” theme for the primo, too: pasta al coregone
…as did Keegan and Giulia (with Guglielmo), whereas Pino opted for grilled coregone:
Some of our family group enjoyed other lake fish as secondi: lattarini fritti (small fried lake fish minnows) and fried perch:
For me, following my pasta dish, the grilled vegetables satisfied:
Dessert?
Never any room for that after a Hotel Eden feast.
