Bill put it this way to me in his post-cooking class note: “Anne has provided a fantastic picture of life and cuisine in Umbria – and not only tonight but on our trips with her in Umbria.”
Such a joy to share Umbria through food lore, cooking Umbrian goodness and then feasting – as we did at Jan and John’s home in Trabuco Canyon.
And as always, new friendships were formed, old ties renewed. At this class, I met John T. (and his wife Wanda): John T. had studied at the University of Santa Clara the year before me and as we cooked, we shared Santa Clara links.
Hosts John and Jan had toured with me in Umbria as had guests Kathie and Bill – and what better way to renew our Umbria links than sharing the flavors?
And Barbara and Ron, Tom and Bobbi, Kris and Rand, thanks to you, too, for slicing and dicing with us. And may we share good flavors again soon. Next time, at our house in Umbria?
A few comments:
“Anne, so happy to share in the experience. Loved learning of your story – mesmerized. Food, recipes, growing food from the dirt is a blessing. The best people I know are those who love the people and who love to share a meal.” Bobbi
“Coud not believe you went to Santa Clara! You are fabulous. So enjoyed our evening.” Wanda
“Thank you for a wonderful dinner. The art of cooking is a combination of art and creativity. The taste is the measure of the ingredients….and..hopefully you’ll be able to visit the desert and do another cooking class!
LOVED having the experience.” Kris and Rand
“Kathie and I have had a wonderful experience this evening. Anne has provided a fantastic picture of life and cuisine in Umbria – and not only tonight but on our trips with her in Umbria.” Kathie and Bill
