You might “save the date” for a wedding, an anniversary or another milestone. And when coming to Umbria, make your stay unforgettable by “saving the date(s).” Which ones? Time your trip to include a wondrous festival. They animate Umbria nearly all year round as you can see here.

…and food festivals – le sagre – animate Umbrian villages and hill towns from April to the end of November, each one centered on a local culinary star. The sagra “culinary litany” includes: a prized legume, wild asparagus, wines (of course!), la porchetta, cheeses, pici pasta, hot chili peppers, celery, olive oil (more than one festival!), local beans, mushrooms, hazelnuts, honeys, saffron, chestnuts, white truffles and black truffles. And that’s just a start…!
